Rover T0-R0 – is a University project, which will be presented at international competitions. A robot is developed, which shall support astronauts during the exploration of the Mars. This prototype must fulfil some requirements: It must be cost-effective and its weight needs to be below 50 kg. It is used to collect soil samples, and so it must be equipped with a gripper that is mounted on a rotating base. The rotating base is the most critical place of the system. It needs to be affixed safely because all forces and torque are concentrated at his place. It shall also operate in a dusty environment and be maintenance-free. All requirements are fulfilled by an iglidur® PRT. A lightweight and stabile system was generated.
