Folding sliding blinds

These folding sliding blinds are motor-driven and thus automatically protect entire extensively glazed façades from sun radiation. The motor was not able to be fixed designed stationary, it moves with the blinds. This meant that power had to be routed to the moving motor. Numerous attempts with sliding contacts and spiral cables did not lead to the desired result. It was only when an igus® e-chain® was used that simple, reliable and maintenance-free energy and signal transmission became possible. In addition, the energy chain is sturdy and insensitive to the influences of the weather.
