Energy supply system in Hummingbird Application

The "Hummingbird" is a multitasking tool for the agricultural industry for irrigation and the supply of fertilizer in the fields. It replaces conventional single machines, can be equipped with a variety of sensors and can use a software that processes data related to temperature, nutrients or disease. Thus, the substances to be sprayed can be adapted, mixed and distributed on a case by case basis. The system can be easily installed on irrigation machines or on the structure of a greenhouse and used day and night. And that too without the need of a worker, who would be exposed to the toxic fertilizers or the like. Depending on requirements, fibre optic cables, bus and control cables and hoses can be used. These are guided in an energy chain in a micro flizz® from igus®, a complete system in which the energy chains move in aluminium profiles.
